For the resident DIY handyman, you can buy plastic sheet just like you do wood AND we'll even cut it to size so you can get to building your project as soon as your order arrives at your door.

SYNTHETIC ICE RINKS are constructed by laminating 1/2" high density polyethylene sheet (HDPE) onto 3/4" plywood and fitting them together into a rigid skating surface that requires little in the way of maintenance. Over time, the sheet will require replacement but you can simply flip it over and use the side that was facing the wood.

We also have HDPE puckboard sheets available that you can line the side of your rink with - this is the same material they use in regular ice rinks and will provide a more realistic rebound than plywood.

To protect spectators, cars, and windows you can install 3/8" polycarbonate sheet around your rink. Polycarbonate, with brand names such as Lexan or Makrolon, are virtually shatter proof ensuring that the puck stays in the confines of the rink.
